The Construction of Festivity in the Pandemic
Festivity, as appeared and observed in the long past we remember, has been considered naturally flown into all possible contours of our lives. The Covid-19 pandemic has somehow taught us about the constructive aspects of the festival we usually observe and this is by excluding some usually known and established very important, spontaneous aspects in the supreme structure of festival. Be it Eid, Durga Puja, Chhat Puja and the coming Christmas, the socially natural courses of observing festival without any extravagant construction and layers have at least this year led the path where, if it is a Puja then people could feel and even see the long-suppressed flavor of Puja where mind can freely be attached to. If it is Eid, people have had that opportunity to attach their mind without any overt construction in the name of festivity and so all other festivals. Some areas of city greenery, the lung of polluted cities could be restored this year at least from being further polluted with firecrackers and other chemical materials of puja.
Meanwhile farmers’ protests have been mounting in the streets of the country against the enactment of the Agriculture Bill. Lakhs of farmers even in this pandemic situation are seen marching in the
streets of Delhi and other states. The pandemic situation is also not giving us any healthy improvement in the overall condition. The education sector could not be reopened back to its normalcy. The immediate future of a large chunk of students is in crisis.
Amid such condition the festival issue of ‘Society Language Culture’ the combined edition of the months of October and November has come out with its known flavor of so many flowers of creations. অতিমারীতে উৎসবের আসল গড়ন

গত বহুকাল ধরেই যে কোনো উৎসব’কে যেভাবে আমরা দেখে অভ্যস্ত এবং যাকে এককথায় স্বাভাবিক মনে করা হতো, এই অতিমারীর আবহে তার চেহারাটি কাটছাঁট হয়ে যাবার ফলে উৎসবে আসল ভিতরকার চেহারাটি কেমন যেন ফুটে উঠেছে এ বছর। ঈদ’ই হোক, বা দূর্গা পূজা, বা ছট পূজা অথবা বড়দিন যা ঘটতে চলেছে, এবারে যেন ফুলের ভিতর থেকে আসল চেহারাটি প্রকাশিত হয়েছে যার সঙ্গে মনে সম্পর্ক ঘটেছে অথবা এতদিন যেন কোথায় অধরা ছিল। এছাড়া দূষণের প্রশ্নে এ বছর বাজিই হোক বা অন্যান্য রাসায়নিক পূজা সামগ্রীর দূষণের হাত থেকে প্রকৃতি রক্ষা পেয়েছে।

এরই মধ্যে কৃষিবিলের বিরুদ্ধে দিল্লী সহ ভারতের রাজপথে আছড়ে পড়েছে কৃষক বিদ্রোহের ঢেউ। লক্ষ লক্ষ কৃষকের মিছিল ইতিমধ্যেই দখল করতে শুরু করেছে রাজপথ।। অতিমারীর আবহেরও যেন ইদানিং তেমন উন্নতি হয় নি। নতুন সংক্রমণ ঘটেই চলেছে। দেশের সামগ্রিক শিক্ষাক্ষেত্র আজ এক সংকটে। ছাত্রসমাজের আশু ভবিষ্যতও এক সংকটের মুখোমুখি।
